mick78 will become famous soon enough
Default 2020 Geely FY11

A SUV coupe from Volvo owner Geely, official but so far without a real name (FY11 is the codename)

https://www.carscoops.com/2019/01/he...odenamed-fy11/

No, it's not related to the BMW X4, just heavily inspired by it, which is IMO bit of a shame, Geely was showing more prospect than this lately; But I guess it will be a success in China

That would make a great Chrysler product to fill the dealer with. Hey Geely, FCA is bound to be for sale soon. Call them up and say "We've got product."

Ralph Giles was name one of the most influential people of 2018 according to Car and Driver....my thought was, um, ok, new Wrangler, new Ram....what else has happened at FCA in 2018?

Their new boss just said the next Charger will be electrified...uhhhh, ok.... considering Sergio spent his entire career dumping on electrification, then canceled all sedans, then said they'd only be making CUV's / trucks moving forward - how on earth can we take these statements as anything remotely close to reality??

This said - I 1000% agree - bring these products to FCA. They'd do wonders. Certainly the QC can't be any worse than what FCA offers (i'm looking at you new Wrangler / Ram)

There's no new Charger or Challenger at FCA. If there were, there should be mules running around. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Manley is doing what Sergio did before i.e. run his mouth, promise things, and then never deliver.

The Giulia should have already been converted into a new Charger and Challenger because that is literally as simple at putting new hats on the platform. The Stelvio should have been converted into a Jeep by now...same platform/new hat. The Grand Commander is itching to be big in the market but it's not coming. Where is the Chrysler crossover that could have come off the Pacifica in a nanosecond? Nowhere to be seen.

Just let Chrysler die already, does it really have any compelling reason to continue their mediocre existence? Only Jeep, Dodge and Ram have any value.

Must admit it looks less repulsive than the BMW and Benz equivalent, decent even.

If Geely were to buy, the Italians would be stupid enough to hold onto Fiat, Alfa-Romeo, and Maserati in the deal. Geely would get Jeep, Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler.

Chrysler sells rebadged Geelys.
Dodge is the performance brand with muscle cars.
Ram is folded back into Dodge where it belongs so that a Dakota can happen.
Jeep as is.

Officially launched, a few weeks ago. Called "Xingyue"

I'm not sure if it's an X4 "clone"; there are clearly some BMW influences, but it also looks like a logical coupe-SUV of the design language used on other Geely cars.

Pricing starts just shy of 20K USD for a 1.5T FWD automatic, and tops out just shy of 30K USD for a 2.0T auto AWD car.

If that were on sale in the USA it would be a hit.

Give it a non-stupid name: Geely Inception
Give it a Hyundai 10/100 warranty
Price it advantageously.
Success.

I think it's attractive and would lease one. Buy? Nope. But I'd gamble on a lease.
