Thought Cadillac fired the guy that didn't help them bring out SUVs. Now they bring out this. Dumb.

This is a great move...IF...IF...IF...they price it right. Coupes and sedans aren't dead. They just have to be priced right. Given that this is a Camaro, pricing should be easy to keep under control.

Caddy doesn't have a good history on porting Chev products and pricing them correctly.... Three letters for your. E.L.R.

True, but then again the XT5 is an OK-priced, ported Equinox and the Escalade is a ported Tahoe/Suburban that is priced appropriately against its competition and both are doing well.

Fair. It's stil overpriced IMO for what it is. A nice product - but I don't know it's $20K more nice than an Equinox (at least that's what it is in Canada).

But the Escalade, the original vette -> Caddy thing (whatever it was called) - Cimamon (or whatever it was called)....shows some squandering.

Cadillac has pulled some bone-headed moves Cimarron and Catera to name two. The XLR was poorly priced. Everyone knew it was a Corvette, so why did it cost so much more?

I hope for Caddy' sake, when this launches, you're not replacing the word Corvette w/ Camaro.

Indeed. Smart base pricing on this would be in the low $40Ks so that it sells well and get a lot of cars out there to get people talking about Cadillac. Cadillac needs to create a sensation that they are alive.
