2016 Hyundai Elantra
Like it's big brother Sonata, the Elantra is getting a more mature look for it's next update.

In this case, I think it fares better than the Sonata. I like the grille shape and the fact that it's maintaining a low cowl height in spite of pedestrian safety regs.

I very nearly leased an Elantra. The current one is a great package. This looks like a great step forward.
While I like that the new Sonata is less "styled on acid" than the previous one, it's merely tasteful and not "gotta have" good looking like an Optima or a Fusion.
The current Elantra still looks good. With any luck this will not be a merely tasteful Elantra.

Hyundai has been on a roll lately with their redesigns. It's been a five-year cycle, but for some reason the recent string of redesigns has seemed amazingly fast before the current generations overstay their welcome. First the Sonata, now the Elantra, as well as the new Tucson on the way.
Well done, Hyundai! This one appears to be a looker already.

That front end looks a lot like a Dodge Dart. I like the current model more, so far.

Not feeling the love at the front so far either.

I hope they don't keep the exact same window-line. I always find that to look cheap with new models.

It sort of works with the Elantra, but I hear you. The really horrible rising beltline though is on the Fiesta sedan. The car feels claustrophobic as a result.

Here's the rest of the photos:

I think it is a new window line. I predict better visibility and headroom than the current design.

I own a Fiesta sedan and must disagree. It feels open and airy to me.
