The Corvette :

Is named after a small Dutch or British warship
Has seventh generation which looks like a better, prettier Nissan GT-R
Has a fifth generation notorious for mimicking the Mazda RX-7 (FD)
Has a forth generation variant co-developed with Lotus
Most importantly : is consistently raced and developed on Le Mans circuits to great success

So, if you mean to say that the Corvette is an Internationally Inspired American, then I quite agree.

Saw an S90 as it passed me from behind yesterday and was reminded of this post.

Its otherworldly, refuses to adapt the big tits-to-the-ground grille of most luxury cars and just looks like it has a purpose.
