I'm going to say it, it is kind of boring, no excitement .

I also find it rather hilarious that BMW appears to now be moving to an IP design (dual screens in one encased frame) that MB has been doing/aiming towards since the 2014 S-Class...just in time for MB to move on from it.

Kind of looks like a poor copy of a Stinger / new gen Optima(K5)

BMW & Mercedes really have been trailing the pack in the design department the last couple years. Guess that trend continues here

the large kidney grilles look as silly as expected. i can't imagine this grill design survives a facelift.

Well, full credit to BMW for going all-in on a design cue, like it or not. While I still think it looks horrid (and it is also totally unnecessary to have a large radiator grille on an ELECTRIC car), it's a little less jarring here than it will be on the 4-series, I think. Perhaps it'll be like the Audi shield or Lexus predator grille, in the sense that the public will be de-sensitized to it one day (and maybe BMW will find some way to blend it in to a more cohesive design language).

Good proportions, but the detailing is between boring (why is BMW wanting to eliminate all classic BMW detailing like the hofmeister kink) and obscure (that grille); ANd the interior looks like every second dual screen interior right now, again with zero BMW DNA visually...
