New day...the second derivative supercar. The styling is completely devoid of imagination.

I have to agree. Nowadays it seems all supercars have to look identical, and this identical look is also hardly an attractive one.

How about a front-engined supercar that evokes the Jensen Interceptor or Ferrari Daytona's stylish swagger instead of wanting to be a buzz bucket from a video game?

Totally devoid of Aston design DNA, save the lame treatment at the base of the C pillar.

I honestly don't get the sheer number of mid engined Aston Martin super cars shown in the recent time. It reminds me of that time, several years ago, when suddenly Lotus showed like 5 concept cars, all looking the same, to compete against basically everything, and, well we all know how that went; They still basically have versions of the Elise and Evora....

Also, what was wrong with their lineup around say 2010, the V( Vantage, DB9 and DBS; All beautiful, highly desirable Gentleman's sports cars, tastefully appointed, with great sounding NA engines; Apart form the last bit, , which probably nowadays is no longer a thing, I see no reason they need to chase McLaren with their lineup of 763 very identical looking, super fast sports cars, that all lack that last bit of desirability.

Did anyone say, nah, I really don't like a timeless DB9, just give me a random sportscar with the name and flair of a photo copier? Or is nowadays winning pointless drag races on You Tube the only quality, any premium car needs to have?

Robert Cumberford (sp?) over at automobilemag.com says he's tired of all the $1+ mil hypercars, and so I am. This trend is played out and is BORING.

Give us more stuff like the Honda E prototype, please. Quirky, fun, unique, and vey interesting from a design perspective.

I absolutely second that; When the first Bugatti Veyron arrived, it had a novelty factor. 1000hp, 1 Million as a price tag, crazy; But after 15+ years, that's boring, and that includes the design, the importance for me whether a thing does 0-60 in 3, 2.7 or 2.4 seconds, as irrelevant as the las t tenth of Ring Time.

Also, I think engineering wise, making a small, yet good looking and well engineered car, that still is capable to earn a profit is more of a challenge than put a massive engine into a - let's be honest, because most of them are - ugly body with 500 carbon "aero" parts attached....

Agreed, there's not enough differentiation between those two models. The only one I remember of the top of my head is the Vanquish having more prominent exhaust tips.
