Why all the hate? The R-class looks pretty good to me. I'm really struggling to find anytihng wrong with it.
And what defines failure? If Mercedes doesn't sell a certain number - one which you pulled out of your a%#es - it's a failure? Not profit contribution or anything like that, right?

HOnestly, I was (kind of still am) a R-Class hater, but recently I drove around in a R350 4Matic, and I must say, size apart (the town is too small for it ), a nice dirve, excellent ride (air suspension) and refinement, much bettter than a ML or GL class, which, nevertheless, are much more popular. Honestly, for those 99% of buyers of Mercedes SUVs who DON'T take them offroad, a R would be a much better choice and a much nicer drive on paved roads. Ofcourse, we could go further and say E-class estate, but some people just need the feeling to drive amonster

This looks pretty good actually, much better than the rounded lights which were a mess. hopefully the rear lights will be changed as well.

Better, but doesn't solve the main problem: it's size.

Should help though to raise average 0,3 sales monthly in Europe to 0,4 - 0,5
